WHAT PEOPLE SAY

"Key Strings gave a fantastic performance at our school on Tuesday this week, right in the middle of our Ofsted inspection. They taught the children so much - no mean feat when catering for a large group of 4 - 11 year olds. The pupils who 'helped' were thrilled with themselves and all enjoyed the experience tremendously. Our Ofsted inspector thought it was a great contribution to our music curriculum enrichment. I would like to thank them very much for the lovely and very 'to the point' comments they took the trouble to write in our visitors’ book.” We look forward to next time."
K. Walker, Headteacher, Alvanley & Manley Federated Schools, Frodsham & Warrington

"Just wanted to tell you that the whole show was inspiring and amazing, very interative and very visual including all the different music and sound effects. It was a superb morning and excellent value for money. Thank you for entertaining the whole school so well. All the children really enjoyed themselves."
C. Dodd, Teacher, St. James' C of E Primary School, Tameside

"We always look forward to your visits, and as well as being entertaining and fun, the children are given a wonderful learning experience and a great deal of information."
G.Aston, Headteacher, Wat's Dyke Infant School, Flintshire

HOW CAN WE HELP YOU

We understand that teaching music in primary schools today is a challenge, right? And, it’s just one target amongst many that you have to try and meet.

So, unless you are lucky enough to be musical yourself or have a music specialist in your school, then engaging and inspiring an assembly or classroom of children for a high quality music lesson can be daunting.

But that’s where Key Strings can help... SCHOOL MUSICAL EDUCATION MADE EASY FOR YOU.

Our collaborative style of teaching of music supports EYFS-, KS1- and KS1-based learning and life skills acquisition for your children.

At Key Strings our live musical performances offer your pupils an immersive experience of music that has been designed by professional musicians and teachers to perfectly enhance and complement your existing musical education.

MUSIC IS POWERFUL

Children are inherently musical from birth. They respond and learn through music no matter what their background. Music expresses and represents their identity and heritage, and teaches them to belong to a culture, as well as actively developing their cognitive well-being, self-confidence and inner self-worth.

Many studies have shown that children who are exposed to high quality musical experiences quickly develop additional skills and attributes to support their improved learning across other national curriculum subjects.

Just like you, we want to nurture young children and encourage them to be independent, curious and creative beings; we do this through music.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Our vision for bringing music into schools is more than just encouraging children to be musicians. We want them to have an active experience of music in more unusual ways (see our different programmes for examples).

By experiencing and enjoying music in this way we enable children to become more rounded and confident human beings, improving their cognitive and motor skills, increasing concentration and critical thinking as well as developing a sense of belonging and empathy for each other. If we can also ignite a lifelong passion for music at the same time, then we are incredibly happy too.

During each high quality live musical performance, your children will be actively experiencing different and unusual instruments as well as singing, moving and playing, both in solo performances and together as an ensemble.
